William A. Barnard holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, a Master of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance, and a Juris Doctor, all from Tulane University. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in Texas, a licensed attorney (inactive status), and holds multiple business valuation credentials, including Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) and Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) from the AICPA, Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) in the American Society of Appraisers, and Certified Business Appraiser (CBA) from NACVA.

Since entering the business valuation industry in 1982, Mr. Barnard has valued more than 800 businesses across industries such as healthcare, agribusiness, energy, automotive, financial institutions, telecommunications, manufacturing, construction, publishing, retail, distribution, apparel, technology and software, and other niche sectors.

His work includes commercial disputes involving lost profit and economic damage calculations, estate and gift tax planning, mergers and acquisitions, financial accounting and tax reporting, arbitration, employee stock ownership plans, regulatory reporting, management planning, and marital/business divorce. He has provided consulting and expert testimony in U.S. Federal Court, U.S. Bankruptcy Court, and in state courts in Texas, California, and Massachusetts, as well as in Japan. In addition to his client work, he has taught numerous seminars and educational programs on business valuation.

Outside the office, Mr. Barnard enjoys spending quality time with his wife, children, dogs and remains actively involved in professional organizations and community initiatives related to business valuation and financial advisory services.
