Brent E. McMinn holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics from the University of Nevada, Reno and earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 2021.

Mr. McMinn pitched for three seasons in the New York Mets minor league system before joining Katzen Marshall in 2020. Mr. McMinn performs valuations of business enterprises, equity interests, private equity holdings, and intangible assets for both public and privately held companies. His experience spans estate and gift tax planning, employee stock ownership plans, management planning, business combination analysis (ASC 805), stock option valuation (IRC 409A), goodwill impairment testing (ASC 350), solvency opinions, fairness opinions, litigation support, and merger and acquisition advisory. Previously, he co‑founded an environmental commodities business that secured Series A funding to value and develop carbon projects connected to sustainable agribusiness opportunities throughout Latin America.

Outside the office, Mr. McMinn enjoys going to the gym, playing sports, travel, and spending time with his dog Annie.
